In this interactive workshop we will provide skills, job-seeking methods, and coaching on re-engaging for work and volunteer commitments.

Three topics will be covered:

  1. Assessment – what are my motivations, skills, and abilities? What are the opportunities to use these skills?
  2. Job-seeking methods – how to get full time work for in-demand jobs that match my interest.
  3. Methods – how to get flex/work (job sharing, consulting, GIG, free-lance).

Assessment instruments will be sent before the course.  A toolkit of resources and suggestions will be provided.  This interactive workshop will be led by:

Cindi Mitchell, Founder of Blue Flaire, a Search and Recruitment practice.  Cindi is an expert on information technology, healthcare technology, federal contracting and small business enterprises.  Cindi is active in her community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Central Maryland Chamber as well as serving as a board member for This Point Forward.

Jim Sanders is an independent consultant, community advocate, and adjunct professor at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.  He has taught MBA courses for over 20 years and has developed a nationally recognized MBA course and practicum for Social Entrepreneurship.  Jim is active in his community serving on the board of the Community Foundation of Howard County and as a committee member for This Point Forward.
